Our Terms of Business
Interpretation:
"Buyer" means the individual or organisation that buys or agrees to buy goods from the seller for the purpose of their business, trade or profession or for private use or consumption.
"Seller" means Trotters Web Trading, 12 Hedworth Lane, Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear NE35 9HS
"Goods" means the articles the buyer agrees to buy from the seller.
"Contract" means the agreement betweent the seller and buyer for the sale and purchase of goods incorporating these terms and conditions.
"Terms & Conditions" means the terms and conditions of sale as set out by this document.
Making A Purchase
Where goods ordered by the buyer are not available from stock, substitute products may be offered by email or by phone and delivered only if agreed to by the buyer.
By checking out from the website the buyer agrees to terms and conditions.
Delivery Schedule
Goods supplied within UK mainland will normally be delivered within 10 working days of the acceptance of order, however every possible effort by the seller will be made to dispatch the goods as soon as possible.
Goods supplied outside the UK mainland will normally be delivered within 15 working days of the acceptance of order.
The seller reserves the right to alter delivery times without notice.
In any case of delivery times not being met, the seller shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the buyer or any third party arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery time.
Please make sure somebody is present to receive the goods. The seller is not responsible for goods left unnattended or goods taken to a local dispatch.
In the event of goods being returned to the seller due to non delivery, redelivery costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
Returns Policy
The buyer must inform the seller by phone or email within 24 hours of placing their order if they wish to cancel. The seller reserves the right to charge the buyer a 20% restocking fee if the order is cancelled after the time limit.
Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched.
The buyer shall inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and shall notify the seller by phone or email within 3 working days of delivery if any goods are defective or damaged or of the incorrect quantity. The seller has no obligation to make right the goods if notification is not received within the specified time period.
If the seller is notified within the time period stated of a discrepancy as listed above then the options available to the buyer are
1: To make good any shortage or non - delivery
2: To replace any damage or defective goods
3: To hold your amount in credit with the necessary amount
4: To credit and refund the amount paid for the goods in question.
Where a claim of defective or damaged goods is made, the goods shall be returned to the seller by the buyer.The seller will refund any postage charges in this case.
The seller is not liable for any goods that have been damaged due to misuse or are returned without their original packaging.
In the event of a buyer accepting alternative products as a replacement for out of stock items, and subsequently finding them unsuitable the buyer can return them at their own expense in return for full credit.
Other than for the aforementioned reasons the seller will not accept returns from the buyer.
The seller reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions at any time however this does not affect existing terms and conditions accepted by the buyer upon making a purchase.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect the buyers statutory rights.
